I guess it's all depend on the type of hair and scalp you have. I have quite sensitive scalp (which get irritated very easily and they like to pop up pimples oh-so-very-often!) plus my hair was pretty hydrated - only the hair ends may look a bit dry (but I cut my hair recently, so they look and feel pretty good now). Because of my sensitive scalp and hydrated hair... they look oily and feel oily very easily and this explain why I love balancing or oil-control shampoo!
Anyway... did y'all see the hair care range from DHC at Watsons?? I got the Light & Smooth Shampoo + conditioner and Revitalizing Hair Care Shampoo + Conditioner both sound good for my hair and scalp. (In this post will be reviewing the Light & Smooth range)
DHC Light & Smooth Shampoo and Conditioner
Price : S$19.90 (550ml) each
The DHC Light & Smooth Hair Care range is a unisex range recommended for users with hair concerns that include hair breakage and dehydrated hair and scalp. The range features a fruity floral fragrance to leave users feeling relaxed and refreshed after use.
DHC’s Light & Smooth Hair Care range contains nanoized 18MEA – an intercellular lipid found in healthy hair cuticles that maintains the smoothness of hair and protects the hair’s inner moisture to give it a healthy glow.
Both shampoo and treatment in this range contains three different herbal extracts.
Packed with conditioning ingredients, the Light & Smooth Hair Care shampoo contains lemongrass extract, roman chamomile flower extract and rosemary extract while the Light & Smooth Hair Care Conditioner contains sage extract, wild thyme extract and Melissa extract.
A very simple bottle, which is fine because I don't like weird look shapes of bottle in the bathroom (they took up too much counter space~)
The shampoo feels pretty light (wait.. I go take a pic of the shampoo and conditioner... *5 mins passes by* Good thing was that you don't have to wait 5 mins on the internet~ lolx) lather up really well and the foam of the shampoo was quite thick when I lather into my hair!
Cleanse my hair and scalp well without making my scalp feeling dry (some shampoo can cause dryness on the scalp and cause super itchy sensation~ You don't want that right?)
I didn't much different from the first wash.. but I do feel the different after using the shampoo for 3 days (for my hair and scalp, I always need about 3-4 days of using to feel the effect of a shampoo). My hair feels smoother, softer and quite hydrated without making my hair look oily after my hair was air-dried (I don't use much heat on my hair too!)
But on 2nd day hair.. my hair start to look oily on my crown area around late afternoon/evening (do keep in mind that my hair are black and glossy.. a little bit of water can make my hair look oily~) but my scalp still feels quite nice to touch... NOT oily nor stick (my hair just have a very glossy, sleek look! lolx... ).
Doesn't irritate my scalp or make my scalp feels itchy~
This shampoo are more suitable for dry to normal hair (if you have oily scalp... YOU have to wash your hair when you wake up in the morning.. this shampoo don't do well in control oil for 2nd day hair).
I love the soothing and soft sweet fruity scent.. .so nice and refreshing.

DHC Light & Smooth Conditioner
The conditoner was quite light as compare to most of the conditioner I've ever tried... for me, I think that the shampoo itself does a great job at softening + hydrating my hair.
The conditioner is just an extra step for drier hair.. I've used the conditioner for about a week, and this just make my hair look so flat and straight. My hair are well hydrated, so this just make my hair look even more "moist" (I'm not a fan, but I can feel that this is quite a nice conditioner for dryer hair).
