REN Photoactive Sun Veil SPF15

August 2012, REN launched Photoactive Sun Veil SPF15 - A triple action micro-mineral sunscreen that delivers broad spectrum UVA and UVB protection, fights free radicals and harnesses beneficial light energy for a laser effect that gives the complexion a radiant, even toned appearance.

REN’s Photoactive Sun Veil SPF15 uses sub-micronised Zinc Oxide to protect the skin against harmful UVA and UVB radiation but is free from chemical sunscreen and nano particles. It is easily absorbed and avoids the whitening effect and inconvenience of many mineral sunscreens.
The Science:
REN’s Photoactive Sun Veil SPF15 is not just a sunscreen, it also incorporates an extraordinary anti-ageing active.
Fluosphores from Noni Extract are capable of absorbing harmful UV rays and transforming them into visible red light which is proven to be very beneficial for the skin (akin to the use of laser treatments in skincare clinics). It works by boosting the expression of elastin, in other words firming and revitalising the skin…

The Results
  • Protects skin from the harmful effects of the sun
  • Fights free radicals
  • Harnesses the beneficial properties of sunlight to keep skin looking younger for longer

In vivo studies show an increase of elastin greater than 50% when Noni Extract is topically applied on skin exposed to UV light

The box...

SPF 15 is good enough for normal everyday wear - cos everythings oxidise after 3 hours - even sunblock... so re-applying is the KEY.
[This sunblock can be apply on top of makeup.]

At the bloggers' session - Rui Branco [REN director of education] -  demo on using REN popular products...

Alittle bit about Rui Branco... [Click to enlarge]

Alright back to demo + introducing products....

He start of with their star product... REN NO1 Purity Cleansing Balm [This can remove waterproof makeup... as well as waterproof mascara!]
The texture was pretty amazing - it melts into a nice moist oily texture, but doesn't feel too thick on the skin [the skin on the back of my hand].

Double cleanse with REN Hydra-calm Cleansing gel...

Pamper the skin with wash off mask....
Glycolactic Radiance Renewal mask (Suitable for normal to oily skin) and F10 smooth and renew Mask (suitable for normal to drier skin)

REN Omega 3 Night repair serum [This is oil serum - feel very LUX on the skin~]

If you think that "oil" serum is too "RICH".. REN radiance perfecting serum is perfect for all skin types (for day and night)

Eye's cream/gel... [MY FAVE skincare product - beside Sunblock/Sunscreen! :b]
REN Lipovector Smoothing eye contour cream and REN Active 7 Radiant Eye Gel

The old and new packaging...

According to Rui... eyecream shouldn't be applied around the eye's areas.. cos we don't have any pores over the areas. If applying "cream"(rich eyecream) around the eye's areas.. it just going to cause more problems... millia seeds... darker eye circles @~@!!!!!!!
Apply eye gel (more light weight eye's product) around the eye's areas and follow with eye cream around the "bone" areas...

REN Hydra-calm Global protection Day Cream [For sensitive skin]
REN Vita-Mineral Day Cream [All skin types]

Last step... sunblock! [Refer to the top - REN New launch REN Photoactive Sun Veil SPF 15]
All their products feel so nice and soothing [I test/swatch/apply on both of the back of my hands and arms >>NOT my face<< at the bloggers' session.]
